about

The first single off Detach Me's forthcoming EP Due 2023

lyrics

Realign the idea of what makes us close
What I feel receives another response
Know better you're like the weather down here
You're overbearing

A perpetual storm amongst weathered petals
The science behind the substance brings you back to life
But I'm the offspring
You were a hand in my sculpture

I hope the things I said
That made you feel good
Puts your soul to rest
But your dead voice is everywhere
And I keep listening

Your love is unrequited
According to my forced attitude
I held the bouquet
That just burned away

But you haven't seen
And I hope I can find peace
Before the realisation bites hard
But I'll stay confined
I'll sit back in solitude and you'll lose me
I'm faded, your hands are like ghosts' to me

Hopeless, my heart churning
My lowest form, I'm free to burn

You made sand in my lungs
It turns to glass from the heat of my aggression

Each cut is a detriment to the space left
And I'm just not there
I feel the piercing after every word we say
And I'm just not there anymore
